About

Astronomics, set to launch in 2025, is an indie simulator that combines strategy with space exploration. Players command a customizable starship while assembling a crew of bots and automating asteroid mining operations. The game stands out with its unique blend of elements, allowing players to experience the thrill of space travel as they gather resources to fund their journey back to Earth.

In terms of PC performance, Astronomics is designed to be accessible to a wide range of gamers. With a minimum GPU requirement of an entry-level graphics card (around a score of 615), players can expect decent FPS on mid-range systems. To fully enjoy the game at higher graphics settings, a GPU from the mid-tier segment is recommended, as it would enhance the visuals and overall gaming experience. Users with 8 GB of RAM will meet the minimum requirement, ensuring smooth gameplay for casual gamers and strategists alike.

Should you dive into Astronomics? If you enjoy indie games with simulation and strategy elements, this title could be a worthy addition to your library. Keep an eye on its reviews post-launch, as it promises to deliver a captivating experience in the vastness of space exploration.

Performance profile

February 2025 release. As a current-generation title, Astronomics pushes modern hardware — expect to need an RTX 40-series or RX 7000-series GPU to enjoy it at native 4K Ultra without leaning on upscaling.

As a strategy title, Astronomics is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.

Extremely light — Astronomics runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

Top-down action and space exploration meet asteroid mining automation! In the not so distant future the cost of living on Earth has become astronomical - a paradise for the lucky few wo can afford it and only an aspiration for those who can’t. Sorry, but you aren't one of the lucky ones. Fortunately you’ve got a sure fire path to profit in the asteroid belt thanks to your pseudo employment contract with the Cube Corporation and their motivational representative CUBO. Command a customizable star ship and assemble a faithful crew of bots as you save up for that ticket to Earth and get to finally come home... for the very first time.
