About

Full Throttle is a classic computer adventure game released in 1995, developed by LucasArts and designed by the renowned Tim Schafer. This title stands out for its engaging narrative, rich character development, and vibrant hand-drawn graphics. Players take on the role of Ben Throttle, a biker framed for a crime he didn't commit, navigating a world filled with quirky characters and action-packed sequences.

In terms of PC performance, Full Throttle is quite accessible, primarily requiring an entry-level GPU with a minimum benchmark score of around 300. This means that most modern systems, even those with integrated graphics, should run the game smoothly without much effort. You can expect a solid frame rate (FPS) even on lower graphics settings, making it a perfect choice for casual gamers looking to enjoy a nostalgic experience without demanding hardware.

With a rating of 83/100, Full Throttle is definitely worth playing for fans of adventure games and retro titles alike. Its blend of humor, action, and clever puzzles will keep players engaged, making it a recommended addition to any gaming library, especially for those looking to explore the roots of PC gaming.

Performance profile

Released in May 1995, Full Throttle predates modern GPU acceleration as we know it today. It runs effortlessly on virtually any current hardware, including integrated graphics and entry-level laptops — framerate is limited by the engine, not the GPU.

Extremely light — Full Throttle runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
