About

"Glory of Rome," released in 2020, is an engaging indie simulation and strategy game that thrusts players into the role of a city administrator tasked with expanding the vast Roman Empire. Players build and manage settlements, ensuring resource production and citizen satisfaction, which adds layers of strategy to the city-building experience. With its unique premise and resource-driven gameplay, "Glory of Rome" stands out as a distinctive entry in the simulation genre.

For optimal performance while playing "Glory of Rome," a system equipped with at least an entry-level GPU is essential, with a minimum score of around 5615 to ensure smooth gameplay and decent FPS. A CPU with a score of approximately 3007 and a minimum of 4 GB RAM will also help maintain stable performance. As this game is not very demanding, even users with mid-range GPUs should find it accessible while enjoying comfortable graphics settings.

If you're a fan of simulation and strategy games, "Glory of Rome" is definitely worth your time. Its engaging gameplay and solid ratings make it a compelling experience for those interested in city management, ensuring hours of immersive gameplay.

Performance profile

Released in December 2020, Glory of Rome targets RTX 20/30-series and RX 6000-era hardware. A current mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT) is the sweet spot for 1440p Ultra; 4K needs a high-end card.

As a strategy title, Glory of Rome is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.

Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Glory of Rome; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.
