About
Lake Ridden, released in 2018, is a gripping horror mystery PC game that invites players into a chilling narrative where a camping trip takes a sinister turn. The gameplay revolves around puzzle-solving and exploration, as you delve into the dark secrets of the past to locate your sister who has mysteriously disappeared. Notable for its atmospheric graphics and immersive storytelling, Lake Ridden stands out in the indie gaming scene with its eerie setting and engaging narrative.
This PC game is particularly suited for players who enjoy a mix of exploration and puzzle-solving without the pressure of intense combat. Ideal for those who appreciate a slower, more thoughtful approach to gameplay, Lake Ridden offers a moderate difficulty that can be rewarding for gamers who take their time to uncover its mysteries. With its detailed environments and haunting themes, fans of psychological horror will find this game captivating, although its linear structure may limit replayability.
With a solid rating of 70/100, Lake Ridden may not be for every PC gamer, but it provides a worthwhile experience for those intrigued by horror narratives and atmospheric settings. If you're in the mood for a chilling mystery that balances exploration and puzzle-solving, this game is definitely worth a try.
Performance profile
May 2018 release. Lake Ridden was built around the GTX 10-series / RX Vega era. Current-gen mid-range cards (RTX 4060 / RX 7600) are overkill at 1080p and handle 1440p Ultra comfortably.
Extremely light — Lake Ridden runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
