About
To enjoy Malevolent Madness, an entry-level GPU like the GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT is sufficient for minimum requirements. However, for a smoother experience, especially in a horror setting where frame rates can impact immersion, aiming for a mid-tier card, such as the RTX 2060 or RX 6600, is advisable. These options will allow players to run the game at 1080p with medium to high settings, providing a better visual experience without sacrificing performance.
For those with high-end GPUs, like the RTX 3070 or RX 6700 XT, resolutions of 1440p or even 4K can be targeted while maintaining high settings. The game is designed to be accessible, making it suitable for a wide range of hardware setups, but players should be mindful of their GPU capabilities to fully enjoy the atmospheric graphics and intricate details that enhance the horror experience. Overall, investing in at least a mid-tier GPU will significantly elevate gameplay, making it more engaging and visually rewarding.
Performance profile
April 2025 release. As a current-generation title, Malevolent Madness pushes modern hardware — expect to need an RTX 40-series or RX 7000-series GPU to enjoy it at native 4K Ultra without leaning on upscaling.
Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Malevolent Madness; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.
Storyline
Players guide a scientist with special abilities assigned to secret projects. Hidden in a dark cave, a time machine, which can only be activated by a specific DNA, initially shows no response but suddenly starts to function unexpectedly. This machine poses a risk of annihilating the universes if the same matter exists in both. As our character uncovers the terrifying secrets behind the machine, they decide to quit their job, yet a malevolent professor wishes to use the machine for his own purposes and abducts the character, subjecting them to torturous tests. The horrifying events grow increasingly complex.
