About

Nauticrawl, released in 2019, is an indie simulation game that immerses players in a unique narrative experience. Set on an unknown planet, you take control of a stolen Nauticrawl, navigating through a world filled with challenges and intricate controls. The game is notable for its blend of exploration and puzzle-solving, forcing you to familiarize yourself with the enigmatic interfaces while uncovering the mysteries of your new environment.

In terms of PC performance, Nauticrawl is relatively accessible, making it a good option for gamers with entry-level hardware. To achieve optimal FPS, you’ll want at least an entry-level GPU with a minimum score of around 2892, alongside a CPU score of approximately 6089 and 4 GB of RAM. This allows you to enjoy the game without significant performance hiccups, and even modest graphics settings can still yield an engaging experience.

If you're a fan of indie titles or simulation games, Nauticrawl comes highly recommended, boasting an 80/100 rating that reflects its engaging gameplay and immersive storytelling. With its unique premise and inventive design, it offers players a memorable journey worth exploring.

Performance profile

September 2019 release. Nauticrawl was built around the GTX 10-series / RX Vega era. Current-gen mid-range cards (RTX 4060 / RX 7600) are overkill at 1080p and handle 1440p Ultra comfortably.

Simulation titles like Nauticrawl are heavily CPU-dependent — physics, AI and world state dominate the frame budget. Prioritise a CPU with strong single-thread performance and fast RAM over raw GPU power.

Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Nauticrawl; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.

Storyline

You've stolen a Nauticrawl and its walls, like the approaching sentinels, are closing in around you. It's time to move. NOW. Then you realize... you don't know how to move this heap of metal. Enslaved on an unknown planet, a stolen Nauticrawl is your only hope of escaping the wretched life you were born into. But now that you're at the helm, you have a whole new set of problems. The craft is full of levers, buttons, and gauges that make no sense to you. And even if they did, where would you go? Uncover the secrets of this world, figure out how to pilot the Nauticrawl, and chart a course for freedom. Or die trying. Master foreign contraptions and figure out how to pilot the mysterious Nauticrawl. Explore randomly generated maps while uncovering the secrets of an unknown planet Intercept communications, speak to natives, hack into devices, and chart a path to freedom. Nauticrawl takes apart dungeon-crawlers and roguelikes of the 90s, and rebuilds them back into a game unlike any you’ve played before. Like the games from the generation that inspired it, Nauticrawl leaves you to your own devices... literally.
