About

Polygon Hunter, released in 2021, is an arcade-style indie shooter that takes players on a whimsical journey through a dreamlike world filled with geometric shapes. Players control Eddie, a student who battles polygons drawn by his teacher while dozing off in class. With unlimited ammo and a variety of pickups, Eddie must defeat challenges based on levels inspired by different countries, making the game notable for its creative setting and engaging gameplay.

For those considering the PC performance of Polygon Hunter, this title is fairly accessible, making it a great option for gamers with entry-level hardware. The minimum GPU requirement is around a score of 2175, which aligns well with budget graphics cards. With a minimum CPU score of about 8811 and 8 GB of RAM, players can expect solid FPS even on lower settings, ensuring smooth gameplay without demanding high-end systems. Those with mid-range GPUs will enjoy even better graphics settings and frame rates.

If you're a fan of arcade shooters and unique concepts, you should definitely give Polygon Hunter a try. With positive reception for its inventive design and engaging gameplay, this title is a fun way to experience a blend of action and creativity. Its light system requirements make it a perfect choice for gamers looking for an enjoyable experience without extensive hardware investments.

Performance profile

Released in December 2021, Polygon Hunter targets RTX 20/30-series and RX 6000-era hardware. A current mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT) is the sweet spot for 1440p Ultra; 4K needs a high-end card.

Polygon Hunter is latency-sensitive: a high refresh-rate monitor (144 Hz+) and consistent 1% low framerate matter more than raw averages. Aim for a GPU that delivers 20–30% more headroom than the "just 60 FPS" tier to keep frame pacing smooth during intense fights.

Extremely light — Polygon Hunter runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

Eddie is the main character, he is sleepy at class and finally falls asleep, in his dreams he and his classmates are transported to a phantasy realm based in famous places of the world. They will face Polygons like the teacher is showing them in the whiteboard, all them with special powers and tricks and the ability to split into 2 smaller polygons when they die... until finally die in this adventure, the player will play with any of the 12 classmates, all them with their own stats and play style, the main goal y to finish the game with good score to gain money and unlock better weapon, pickup and player levels.
