About
Scoot is an accessible game that caters to a wide range of hardware, making it a great option for casual gamers. With a minimum GPU requirement of an entry-level card like the GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT, players with modest setups can expect to run the game smoothly at 1080p with low to medium settings. This ensures a decent performance while allowing for an enjoyable experience of performing tricks and customizing parks.
For those with mid-range GPUs, such as the GTX 1660 or RX 580, targeting higher settings at 1080p or even 1440p becomes feasible. This setup enhances visual fidelity and maintains a smooth frame rate, allowing for a more immersive experience. Overall, Scoot is an easy-to-run title that doesn't demand high-end specifications, making it ideal for gamers looking for a fun, low-pressure experience without the need for an expensive rig.
Performance profile
Released in December 2020, Scoot targets RTX 20/30-series and RX 6000-era hardware. A current mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT) is the sweet spot for 1440p Ultra; 4K needs a high-end card.
Simulation titles like Scoot are heavily CPU-dependent — physics, AI and world state dominate the frame budget. Prioritise a CPU with strong single-thread performance and fast RAM over raw GPU power.
Mid-range territory. An RTX 3060 or RX 6700 XT delivers 60 FPS at 1080p High in Scoot. For 1440p Ultra you'll want an RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT; 4K Ultra needs an RTX 4070 Ti or faster.
Storyline
The goal of Scoot is to give scooter riders around the world what they've always been wanting ever since the SKATE franchise. There's new skateboarding games, BMX games, and now, finally a scooter action sports game. Staying away from crowd sourcing, having Scoot in Early Access allows for Matt Cole to be engaged with the community and receive feedback on our journey to a the full scooter action sports game that we've all wanted for such a long time.
