About

Soul Interface, released in 2024, is an innovative early access indie simulation game that immerses players in a virtual aquarium and petri dish environment. The game allows you to design and grow unique lifeforms, experiment with their interactions, and watch them compete for survival. With a blend of creativity and strategy, it offers an engaging experience that encourages exploration and experimentation across various singleplayer worlds.

For optimal performance, Soul Interface is quite accessible and can run smoothly on entry-level hardware. With a minimum GPU requirement of around 1500 points and just 4 GB of RAM, players can expect decent FPS even on lower settings. However, for a more fluid experience at higher graphics settings, it is advisable to consider GPUs in the mid-range category, which will provide better overall performance and stability during gameplay.

If you're a fan of simulation games and enjoy nurturing unique lifeforms, Soul Interface is worth checking out. Its engaging mechanics and creative potential make it a standout title in the indie genre, appealing to those who appreciate innovative gameplay and design.

Performance profile

October 2024 release. As a current-generation title, Soul Interface pushes modern hardware — expect to need an RTX 40-series or RX 7000-series GPU to enjoy it at native 4K Ultra without leaning on upscaling.

Simulation titles like Soul Interface are heavily CPU-dependent — physics, AI and world state dominate the frame budget. Prioritise a CPU with strong single-thread performance and fast RAM over raw GPU power.

Extremely light — Soul Interface runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

This game is a virtual aquarium \ petri dish. Pick whichever description speaks to your <3: 1. You get to design virtual lifeforms - their bodies, nervous cells, muscle fibers. Train their AI, carry out experiments in a 3D physics simulation, in real time, on your PC. If they then survive in a shared environment, amongst species made by other players, Your organisms get to spread to thousands of other singleplayer worlds...and you get a cut of everything they eat! 2. You are tasked with growing and developing a virtual ecosystem. You will create safe, warm currents to grow digital jellyfish, Architect growbeds for virtual seaweed, safe hunting grounds for baby sharks, Select species of plants and predators that coexist well together...watch your digital ecosystem flourish! Oh, and every process \ mechanic is physically represented - you need to fly through space to explore multiplayer, send spacecraft carrying your organisms' genetic material to infect other players with it, seek energy sources to power your experiments...
