About

To experience The Utility Room effectively, a mid-range GPU such as the RTX 4060 or RX 7600 is recommended. This level of graphics card should allow you to enjoy the game at 1080p resolution with high settings, which will provide a visually appealing journey without compromising performance. While the game is designed to be accessible, players with lower-end GPUs may struggle to maintain smooth frame rates, especially in more visually complex areas.

For those with higher-end hardware, such as the RTX 4070 or RX 7700 XT, you can comfortably push settings to ultra while targeting 1440p for a sharper, more immersive experience. The VR aspect requires not only a capable GPU but also sufficient RAM; 12 GB is the minimum to ensure smooth gameplay. Overall, investing in a solid mid-range graphics card is advisable for a satisfying experience, while enthusiasts will find that higher-end options elevate the visual fidelity and overall enjoyment.

Performance profile

February 2023 release. As a current-generation title, The Utility Room pushes modern hardware — expect to need an RTX 40-series or RX 7000-series GPU to enjoy it at native 4K Ultra without leaning on upscaling.

High-end requirement. The Utility Room needs an RTX 4070 Ti or RX 7800 XT for comfortable 1440p 60 FPS at High settings. 4K Ultra 60 FPS is flagship territory — RTX 4080 Super / RX 7900 XTX minimum without upscaling.

Storyline

The Utility Room is not a traditional VR game. It is not inspired by anything. It is not set in a cyberpunk-Esque city 150 years in the future. There's no shooting or flashing lights or gumball machine gameplay. It is a place that no one has ever seen or visited and it is a place where you do not belong. Most entities that inhabit this world will pay little attention to you. Though It needs to be said that this world is a lot bigger than you are. It is dangerous, and nothing will account for your safety.
