About
For a smooth gaming experience, an entry-level GPU such as the GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT is recommended. These graphics cards can handle the game's requirements without significant strain, allowing for decent visuals and frame rates. Given the indie nature and strategic gameplay focus, the title is designed to be accessible, making it suitable for a wide range of hardware.
At lower-end settings, you can expect to run the game at 1080p with stable performance, while mid-range GPUs can easily push higher settings or even 1440p resolution. If you're using older hardware, such as a GTX 1050 or integrated graphics, you may need to lower the resolution and detail settings to maintain a playable frame rate. Overall, this game is designed to be enjoyed by a broad audience, making it a solid choice for anyone with a budget-friendly rig or older hardware.
Performance profile
As a strategy title, The Vow: Vampire's Curse is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.
Extremely light — The Vow: Vampire's Curse runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
Storyline
Some may call it a tale of love, or of revenge and death, but at its heart, it is a story of survival… You play as Richard, a righteous knight who is about to marry his beloved, the beautiful Eleanor. But right at their wedding ceremony, the evil (but handsome) vampire Arnaud storms into the chapel, filling the room with his dark power, steals Eleanor, and kills Richard. The next morning, Richard wakes up in the church with his teacher, Bertrand, kneeling beside him in shock. Richard has been resurrected. After recovering from the shock, Bertrand explains what happened the night before. Richard swears to save Eleanor from the evil grasp of Arnaud and begins his crusade toward Arnaud’s dark castle at the top of the mountain. On his journey, Richard passes through villages raided by Arnaud’s servants. He helps villagers fortify their homes against the night raids, defends them from the creatures, and protects their lands. But if the village falls, Richard falls with it, and awakens once more in the church beside Bertrand. It is then that he understands that this is not a miracle, this is a curse. Every time he dies, he must start his crusade all over again. Along the way, Richard encounters familiar faces, friends, allies, some are shocked to see him alive, and others may challenge him, forcing difficult choices that shape his journey. In the end, it is you who will decide the fate of Richard, the villages, and whether he can save his beloved Eleanor.
