Performance profile
August 2025 release. As a current-generation title, Yield! Fall of Rome pushes modern hardware — expect to need an RTX 40-series or RX 7000-series GPU to enjoy it at native 4K Ultra without leaning on upscaling.
As a strategy title, Yield! Fall of Rome is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.
Extremely light — Yield! Fall of Rome runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
Storyline
Fall of Rome The year is 401 AD, spring is in the air as the sun is slowly setting. What seems like a completely normal night by the river of the Rhine is turning out to be the beginning of the end for the world's longest lasting empire! Tens of thousands of germanic soldiers have moved silently towards the river under the cover of the night. The Roman province is putting up a good fight, but it's slowly dawning on them that the area they have controlled for centuries can no longer be protected. The Germanic tribes win back more important provinces, but they need a strong leader to gather around. It will be your task to lead the campaign from there and progress through Europe, province by province! But you are not alone. Other factions are also ready to fight for the same goal: capture Rome and be part of history!
