About
Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation, released in 2016, is a standalone expansion that enriches the simulation and strategy genre. Notable for its large-scale battles and real-time strategy mechanics, the game introduces two new campaigns, a new strategic map, and various units and buildings. Players can engage in intense warfare with a higher player count than ever before, which elevates the strategic possibilities and the overall gameplay experience.
In terms of PC performance, Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation is designed to run well on entry-level hardware, with a minimum GPU requirement around 3127 points. Those looking to achieve smooth FPS might consider GPUs in the mid-range tier to enjoy higher graphics settings and optimal performance. With a recommended system including at least 6 GB of RAM, players can expect an accessible experience without needing top-of-the-line components, making it suitable for a wide range of PC gamers.
Given its gameplay innovations and a rating of 70/100, Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation is worth exploring for fans of the strategy genre. If you enjoy tactical decision-making and large-scale combat, this expansion offers a compelling experience that stands out in its class.
Performance profile
Released in November 2016, Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation sits in the DirectX 11 generation. Comfortable on any modern mid-range GPU at 1440p; even an RTX 3050 or RX 6600 typically delivers 4K60 at High settings.
As a strategy title, Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.
Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.
