Disgaea 5 Complete is a tactical strategy RPG released in 2017 that combines deep turn-based combat with a colorful anime aesthetic. The game features the complete story from the original alongside eight new scenarios, four returning fan-favorite characters, and three additional character classes that expand the roster and strategic options available during gameplay.
Running Disgaea 5 Complete is straightforward for most modern systems, making it an excellent benchmark title for entry-level gaming PCs. The game requires a minimum GPU score around 3078 and CPU score near 1542, meaning even budget graphics cards can deliver solid FPS performance across various settings. As a strategy title, Disgaea 5 Complete is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.
Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Disgaea 5 Complete; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.
Storyline
"In a galaxy, darker than the pitch blackness of the universe, countless Netherworlds exist. In each Netherworld, there is an Overlord who reigns over its hot-blooded demons, and maintains the balance of the Netherworlds by keeping each other in check. But the sudden appearance of Demon Emperor Void Dark and his army, Lost, has ravaged many Netherworlds, forcing them to surrender. At the same time, there's been a young demon that stands alone against the growing powers of Lost. His name is Killia. He is an unknown demon that swore to take revenge on Demon Emperor Void Dark, and defeat the Lost that's been destroying various Netherworlds. Unexpectedly, he happened to save Princess Overlord Seraphina. Killia, accepted by Seraphina as a capable servant, has begrudgingly agreed to accompany her to overthrow Void Dark..."
