For optimal performance, a setup with at least 4 GB of RAM is recommended, allowing players to adjust graphics settings without sacrificing frame rates.

Performance profile
Released in June 2020, Fear of the Dark targets RTX 20/30-series and RX 6000-era hardware. A current mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT) is the sweet spot for 1440p Ultra; 4K needs a high-end card.
RPGs like Fear of the Dark stress VRAM during long sessions — texture streaming, mods and open-world traversal inflate memory use over time. 8 GB VRAM is a practical floor; 12 GB+ is worth the headroom at 1440p and above.
Mid-range territory. An RTX 3060 or RX 6700 XT delivers 60 FPS at 1080p High in Fear of the Dark. For 1440p Ultra you'll want an RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT; 4K Ultra needs an RTX 4070 Ti or faster.
