About
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is a remastered collection of two beloved JRPG classics originally released in 2013. These international versions bring the timeless turn-based RPG gameplay and emotional storytelling of the original PlayStation 2 games to modern systems with enhanced visuals. The dual-game package offers dozens of hours of classic Final Fantasy content that remains engaging for both longtime fans and newcomers to the series.
This is one of the most accessible games for PC benchmarking purposes, requiring only entry-level GPU hardware with a minimum score around 283 to run. With just 1 GB of RAM needed and relatively light system demands, you can expect solid 60 FPS performance on budget graphics cards across most settings. Even older or integrated GPUs can handle this remaster without issues, making it an excellent title for testing performance on lower-tier hardware or older gaming PCs.
With an 85/100 rating and engaging JRPG gameplay, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is absolutely worth playing if you enjoy story-driven RPGs. The combination of accessibility and quality makes it a perfect entry point into the Final Fantasy franchise on PC.
Performance profile
Released in December 2013, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster sits in the DirectX 11 generation. Comfortable on any modern mid-range GPU at 1440p; even an RTX 3050 or RX 6600 typically delivers 4K60 at High settings.
RPGs like Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster stress VRAM during long sessions — texture streaming, mods and open-world traversal inflate memory use over time. 8 GB VRAM is a practical floor; 12 GB+ is worth the headroom at 1440p and above.
Extremely light — Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
Storyline
FINAL FANTASY X tells the story of a star blitzball player, Tidus, who journeys with a young and beautiful summoner named Yuna on her quest to save the world of Spira from an endless cycle of destruction wrought by the colossal menace Sin. FINAL FANTASY X-2 returns to the world of Spira two years after the beginning of the Eternal Calm. Having been shown a mysterious but familiar image in a sphere, Yuna becomes a Sphere Hunter and along with her companions Rikku and Paine, embarks on a quest around the world to find the answers to the mystery within.
