About

Flux8, released in 2017, is a captivating indie arcade game that blends platforming and puzzle-solving elements. Players take on the role of a sentient magnet, enslaved in a factory, where they must choose between compliance and rebellion. With its unique storyline and whimsical graphics, Flux8 stands out in the genre by encouraging players to embrace creativity and teamwork, whether they are tackling challenges solo or in local co-op mode.

For optimal performance in Flux8, even entry-level PCs should suffice, with a minimum GPU requirement of around 303 GFLOPS. Players can expect smooth gameplay and decent FPS on machines equipped with budget-friendly graphics cards, such as the NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 or AMD Radeon RX 550. With a minimum of 3 GB of RAM, gamers can adjust their graphics settings to find a balance between performance and visual fidelity, making it accessible for a wide range of systems.

If you're searching for a charming game that offers a mix of fun and challenge, Flux8 is certainly worth a try. Its intriguing premise and cooperative gameplay make it an enjoyable experience, especially for fans of indie and puzzle platformers. With positive reviews and engaging mechanics, this game is a solid addition to anyone's library.

Performance profile

July 2017 release. Flux8 was built around the GTX 10-series / RX Vega era. Current-gen mid-range cards (RTX 4060 / RX 7600) are overkill at 1080p and handle 1440p Ultra comfortably.

Light on hardware. Flux8 runs comfortably on almost any modern GPU, including laptop integrated graphics; feel free to chase higher resolutions or refresh rates without worrying about bottlenecks.

Extremely light — Flux8 runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
