Performance profile
Released in September 2022, Timewell: Trail of Celestes targets RTX 20/30-series and RX 6000-era hardware. A current mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT) is the sweet spot for 1440p Ultra; 4K needs a high-end card.
Simulation titles like Timewell: Trail of Celestes are heavily CPU-dependent — physics, AI and world state dominate the frame budget. Prioritise a CPU with strong single-thread performance and fast RAM over raw GPU power.
Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Timewell: Trail of Celestes; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.
Storyline
In the year 3099, earth had a major crisis of resources, pollution, and unjust economy. Governments controlled by megatechs invested in creating the ultimate artificial intelligence with a personality to increase their reach in the galaxy. SAT-V (Super Adaptive Tech), the latest version of artificial intelligence research was designed to overcome perils with unparalleled ingenuity as well as firepower. Burdened with the task of finding a goldilocks planet of bountiful resources, SAT-V got a mysterious signal of an unknown origin on the outskirts of Titan. Reaching the destination, SAT-V encountered a portal, a gaping hole in the fabric of spacetime. Without hesitation, it took the first step in the human history and made the perilous jump. After the spacetime jump, SAT-V had a startling revelation: an unknown entity emerged from SAT-V’s cerebral nexus and took the leading role of her virtual personalities. Providing little information about its origin, the entity gave SAT-V various tasks to reach the final destination, where humanity will be rewarded by supreme beings mentioned as Celestes. Thus starts the Trail Of Celestes…
