About
For optimal performance in this JRPG, a minimum entry-level GPU such as the GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT is required. This setup will allow for decent gameplay at 1080p with low to medium settings, making it an accessible option for most gamers. While the game isn't particularly demanding, players seeking a more immersive experience with higher detail and smoother frame rates would benefit from mid-range GPUs like the GTX 1660 Super or RX 6600, which can comfortably handle 1080p at high settings.
For those with higher-end graphics cards, such as the RTX 3060 or RX 6700 XT, 1440p resolutions can be achieved with high settings while maintaining solid frame rates. The game’s art style and turn-based combat don’t require the latest hardware, but investing in a mid-range or better GPU will enhance visual fidelity and provide a more engaging experience. Overall, if you're looking to dive into an expansive RPG with rich storytelling and strategic gameplay, aligning your GPU choice with the recommended tiers will ensure a satisfying adventure.
Performance profile
May 2026 release. As a current-generation title, Akuma Rise pushes modern hardware — expect to need an RTX 40-series or RX 7000-series GPU to enjoy it at native 4K Ultra without leaning on upscaling.
As a strategy title, Akuma Rise is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.
Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Akuma Rise; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.
Storyline
A realm of demons, Adribune. The Overlord who once ruled this world has suddenly vanished. The three nations and the ruling state, four countries in total, seize the chance to start fighting among themselves. In the growing chaos, the Radiant Realm sends its heroes to take control of the Shadow Realm. Amid the turmoil, a lone demon named Kaine washes ashore on a remote island nation. Kaine has lost all memories and remembers only his name and the need to search for fragments of his past. Iroha, who has been caring for Kaine, witnesses the immense power hidden within him. Hoping to save her country from the heroes' advance, she begs Kaine to lend his strength.
