About

"Ambrosia," released in 2019, is an immersive adventure RPG that places players in the shoes of Flode as she explores the mysterious island of Cerbes. With an open-ended design, players can tackle various dungeons in any order, which adds an element of strategy to gameplay. The blend of adventure and indie elements, along with its charming art style, makes "Ambrosia" a notable choice for those who enjoy a compelling narrative and exploration.

In terms of PC performance, "Ambrosia" is quite accessible, catering to a wide range of hardware. The minimum requirement is an entry-level GPU with a score of around 300, making it suitable for casual gamers. To achieve stable FPS and enjoy decent graphics settings, players should consider mid-range GPUs like the NVIDIA GTX 1050 or AMD RX 560, which can deliver smooth performance even during more demanding moments in the game.

If you appreciate adventure titles with rich storytelling and a touch of strategy, "Ambrosia" comes highly recommended. With positive ratings and its unique gameplay mechanics, it's worth diving into this charming experience for both casual and dedicated gamers alike.

Performance profile

January 2019 release. Ambrosia was built around the GTX 10-series / RX Vega era. Current-gen mid-range cards (RTX 4060 / RX 7600) are overkill at 1080p and handle 1440p Ultra comfortably.

RPGs like Ambrosia stress VRAM during long sessions — texture streaming, mods and open-world traversal inflate memory use over time. 8 GB VRAM is a practical floor; 12 GB+ is worth the headroom at 1440p and above.

Extremely light — Ambrosia runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

Flode is an apprentice priestess who dutifully serves the God of Light, Leight. Her life is peaceful until one day, she gets swept up in a scandal involving the family of the local duke. The church officials decide it's better to send her away until the fuss cools down. She then makes her way to the remote island of Cerbes, where she's tasked with managing the old shrine and spreading the word of Leight. While things seem difficult at first, Flode's earnest attitude soon wins over the hearts of the local populace, and she even manages to befriend a monster woman! However, things take a dark turn when her new friend is captured, and to free her, she must find the legendary treasures spread across the island. Things seem hopeless, but it just so happens that the shrine Flode is living in was built on holy ground belonging to the old god of the island, Noir, who's willing to lend her a hand. Will Flode succeed in her quest and stay true to her faith, or will she become a follower of Noir?
