Pathway is a 1930s-set strategy RPG that blends turn-based combat with procedurally generated exploration through exotic desert landscapes. This indie adventure tasks you with outwitting enemies in tactical encounters, raiding occult tombs, and making meaningful choices that shape your expedition. The pulp adventure theme and roguelike structure give it strong replayability despite its indie scope.
Running Pathway is straightforward for most modern systems. The game demands only entry-level GPU performance, with a minimum graphics card score around 303, making it highly accessible even on budget builds. April 2019 release. Pathway was built around the GTX 10-series / RX Vega era. Current-gen mid-range cards (RTX 4060 / RX 7600) are overkill at 1080p and handle 1440p Ultra comfortably.
As a strategy title, Pathway is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.
Extremely light — Pathway runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
Storyline
THE YEAR IS 1936 ... In a time of global turmoil, Nazi influence spreads inexorably across Europe and the Middle East. Rumors are abound of secret excavations and mysterious artifacts, not to mention the odd whisperings and tales of gruesome occult rituals... IT'S UP TO YOU ... Assemble a team of bold adventurers, and journey through the deserts, explore bunkers, and temples of Northern Africa to discover their hidden treasures and secrets before they fall into the hands of Nazi forces.
