About
Stellar Tactics, released in 2016, is an engaging classic Sci-Fi RPG that invites players to explore the vastness of deep space. With its blend of adventure, strategy, and indie charm, the game captivates fans of turn-based combat and open-world exploration. Players gather their crew, customize their ship, and immerse themselves in a rich narrative filled with challenges and exciting encounters.
For optimal performance in Stellar Tactics, players will find that entry-level GPUs with a benchmark score of around 2202 can handle the game at decent settings. While it is not overly demanding, having at least 4 GB of RAM is essential for maintaining smooth FPS during gameplay. For those looking to enhance their experience, mid-range graphics cards can elevate visual fidelity while allowing better performance in various graphics settings.
Given its solid rating of 80/100, Stellar Tactics is a recommended play for fans of RPGs and strategy games alike. Its nostalgic feel and engaging gameplay make it a worthwhile experience for anyone interested in immersive sci-fi adventures.
Performance profile
March 2026 release. As a current-generation title, Stellar Tactics pushes modern hardware — expect to need an RTX 40-series or RX 7000-series GPU to enjoy it at native 4K Ultra without leaning on upscaling.
As a strategy title, Stellar Tactics is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.
Extremely light — Stellar Tactics runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

You are an elite warrior genetically modified, bred for warfare. Your team will wake to investigate an occurrence on one of the ships that carry the remnants of your people, suspended in a deep sleep for the long sub-light journey. Your deeds, will change the destiny of those you protect. Choose wisely, as your actions will be reflected in the events that unfold when you reach your destination and you are unleashed into the void. Stellar Tactics tells the story of a parallel warring species of human beings, genetic mutation, ancient alien civilizations, unprecedented power and hope. A compelling narrative of finely crafted lore specifically designed to mesh with an open ended RPG sandbox universe.
