About

ChronoClock, released in 2015, is an intriguing blend of adventure, simulator, and visual novel genres that captivates players with its unique storyline. You step into the shoes of Rei Sawatari, who inherits a mystical pocket watch enabling him to rewind time by five minutes. This compelling narrative device not only sets ChronoClock apart from other titles but also allows for creative gameplay that encourages exploration of various outcomes and decisions.

In terms of PC performance, ChronoClock is quite accessible, requiring only an entry-level GPU with a minimum score of around 300 to run effectively. With just 2 GB of RAM needed, players can achieve decent FPS even on modest hardware setups. A system equipped with an integrated GPU or a low-end dedicated card should provide a smooth experience, making it feasible for a wide range of gamers to enjoy the game without the need for high-end components.

If you're a fan of narrative-driven experiences that blend time manipulation with engaging storytelling, ChronoClock is worth your time. Its unique mechanics and approachable gameplay make it a solid choice for casual gamers and enthusiasts of visual novels alike, promising an enjoyable adventure without heavy hardware demands.

Performance profile

Released in April 2015, ChronoClock sits in the DirectX 11 generation. Comfortable on any modern mid-range GPU at 1440p; even an RTX 3050 or RX 6600 typically delivers 4K60 at High settings.

Simulation titles like ChronoClock are heavily CPU-dependent — physics, AI and world state dominate the frame budget. Prioritise a CPU with strong single-thread performance and fast RAM over raw GPU power.

Extremely light — ChronoClock runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

Unbeknownst to his fellow classmates, Rei Sawatari has spent his years putting together a list of cute girls. One after another, he would confess to these girls to gauge their interest in him, before using the power of his pocket watch to turn back time. An ingenious strategy that is virtually free of risk. After school, on a day just like that... A girl falls to her death from the school rooftop. Panicked screams erupted, as her innards splattered on the pavement. Turning back time to see for himself what in the world happened, he frantically made his way up to the roof and threw open the door. He was greeted by a scene he never expected. Suzuki Miu, a first-year girl, was right in the middle of confessing her feelings to his best friend... as Rei waltzed in at the worst possible moment. Not only is Miu painfully shy, but luck never seems to be on her side. Naturally, it took her everything she had and more just to work up the courage to convey her feelings. In contrast, Rei is only able to confess his feelings with the help of his pocket watch — something he admits himself. Moved by the strange girl and her determination, he decides to do everything in his power to make her second confession succeed. That is how their bizarre three-way relationship came to be. Meanwhile, our protagonist has to somehow gather up the courage to confess his feelings to one of the other heroines. This is only the first page of Rei Sawatari's story.
