Performance profile
Released in May 2022, Deadcraft targets RTX 20/30-series and RX 6000-era hardware. A current mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT) is the sweet spot for 1440p Ultra; 4K needs a high-end card.
Simulation titles like Deadcraft are heavily CPU-dependent — physics, AI and world state dominate the frame budget. Prioritise a CPU with strong single-thread performance and fast RAM over raw GPU power.
Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Deadcraft; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.
Storyline
In the year 20XX, a hail of meteors bombarded Earth. Flames and dust choked the planet, blocking out the sun and killing nearly all vegetation...reducing the world to a harsh, barren wasteland. But that was not the only disaster that awaited humanity... Hidden within the fallen meteors was a mysterious virus which infected the dead and resurrected them as zombies—mindless creatures who would then turn and attack the living. Any who fell to them would become zombies themselves, and it wasn't long before the ZiV pandemic had spread across the globe. Decades passed... Humanity was on its last legs, with the new law of the land being survival at all costs. The planet had precious few resources left to sustain life. What humans remained were at constant odds in a selfish bid to stay alive...leaving the weak to be crushed underfoot.
