About

To run this atmospheric adventure game smoothly, an entry-level GPU like the GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT is sufficient. These graphics cards can handle the game’s unique pencil-drawn art style without straining your system. With a minimum of 1 GB of RAM, the game is quite accessible, making it suitable for players with lower-spec machines.

For optimal performance, targeting 1080p resolution at medium settings is advisable if you’re using an entry-level GPU. Players with mid-range graphics cards, such as the GTX 1660 Super or RX 6600, can comfortably push to higher settings and achieve better frame rates. Overall, this title is designed to be approachable, allowing a broad range of gamers to enjoy the immersive experience without requiring high-end hardware.

Performance profile

Faded Solitude is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.

Extremely light — Faded Solitude runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

Meet Lorry, a shy yet curious young girl who lives alone with Helina in a small cabin located... well, Lorry doesn't know exactly. In fact--besides some occasional glances through the window in her bedroom, peering into an opaque snowstorm--Lorry has no idea what the world even looks like. Her entire life, for as long as she can remember, has been this cabin. Helina say's it's not safe outside and to never leave--but she doesn't say why. All exiting doors are always securely locked; never once has Lorry seen one open. For days, weeks, months and maybe even for years, both girls live day-to-day repeating the same activities: eating the same meals, enjoying the same books, living their own small solitary version of groundhog day--that both of them are aware of. It's as if time were standing still... or perhaps it never existed in the first place? Even the hands from the clocks are oddly missing, and the calendar only shows one month. But what does it matter, since Lorry has never understood the meaning of time anyway? If it weren't for a mysterious, reoccurring nightmare plaguing her dreams every night then perhaps this life would be easy to accept, but this dream leads Lorry to question her existence and her curiosity drives her to understand the world beyond the cabin. It isn't until a strange portrait appears in the cabin one day, that Lorry finally has the opportunity to learn more--and what she discovers will unravel everything about the woman she lives with and the world she's trapped in...
