About
Fate/Extella Link, released in 2018, is an action-packed sequel to Fate/Extella, part of the expansive Fate multi-media franchise. The game centers around intense combat, allowing players to choose from various characters, each with unique abilities and playstyles. Notably, it enhances the original's gameplay with more dynamic scenarios and intricate character interactions, making it an interesting entry for fans and newcomers alike.
In terms of PC performance, Fate/Extella Link is quite accessible, requiring only an entry-level GPU with a minimum score of about 3302. This means that most modern systems can easily meet its demands, particularly if you aim for smooth FPS at lower graphics settings. For optimal performance, players may want to look at mid-tier GPUs to fully enjoy the game's visual flair without sacrificing frame rates, especially in chaotic battle situations.
Based on its modest rating of 57/100, Fate/Extella Link may not resonate with everyone, but its action-oriented gameplay could appeal to those who enjoy fast-paced fighting games and the Fate series. If you're a fan of the genre and can overlook its shortcomings, it’s worth giving a try for the entertaining combat experience it offers.
Performance profile
June 2018 release. Fate/Extella Link was built around the GTX 10-series / RX Vega era. Current-gen mid-range cards (RTX 4060 / RX 7600) are overkill at 1080p and handle 1440p Ultra comfortably.
Action titles like Fate/Extella Link reward high framerates for visual clarity during combat. A mid-range modern GPU at 1440p 60–120 FPS is the practical sweet spot; VRR (G-Sync/FreeSync) smooths out drops during heavy effects.
Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Fate/Extella Link; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.
