About
Happy Room, released in 2016, is an action-packed indie simulation game that invites players into a laboratory where they test the limits of highly durable human clones using advanced weaponry. Its unique premise revolves around creating elaborate setups to inflict maximum damage on these clones, offering a mix of humor and creativity. The gameplay is notable for its flexible mechanics that encourage experimentation, making it a fun diversion for players looking for something unconventional.
When it comes to PC performance, Happy Room is quite accessible, requiring only an entry-level GPU with a minimum score of around 478 and a CPU score of approximately 154. With at least 4 GB of RAM, players can expect solid frame rates, typically hitting around 60 FPS on modest setups. For optimal performance, a budget-friendly GPU from the entry-level tier will run the game smoothly, allowing for enjoyable graphics settings without considerable strain on the hardware.
Should you play Happy Room? With a rating of 61/100, it offers an entertaining experience, particularly for fans of the quirky indie genre. If you enjoy simulation games with a blend of creativity and absurdity, you might find this title both engaging and worth your time despite its average rating.
Performance profile
Released in December 2016, Happy Room sits in the DirectX 11 generation. Comfortable on any modern mid-range GPU at 1440p; even an RTX 3050 or RX 6600 typically delivers 4K60 at High settings.
Simulation titles like Happy Room are heavily CPU-dependent — physics, AI and world state dominate the frame budget. Prioritise a CPU with strong single-thread performance and fast RAM over raw GPU power.
Extremely light — Happy Room runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
Storyline
Welcome to the laboratory! Here tests are taken upon highly durable human clones using newest weapon technologies. Your goal is to head these tests. Will you destroy the test object using all available arsenal? Here is a wide range of various weapons waiting to be used for the most insidious purposes! Melee, energetic, firearm and even a black hole. Combine it at your desire! You may have a cup of hot coffee while another clone is being ripped by a circular saw and at the same time roasted by a flamethrower. Cruel?.. Maybe, anyway those test objects are just artificially grown human clones. So whatever, put your feet on the table and have no worry about a thing. Let your nerves relax, to the laboratory! Happy Room is based on our old flash game Ragdoll Achievement & Ragdoll Achievement 2, but have lots more content and features.
