About
To run this adventure title smoothly, an entry-level GPU like the GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT is recommended as a minimum. These graphics cards will handle the game's charming 80s aesthetics and narrative-driven gameplay without significant performance issues. For players looking to enhance their experience, a mid-range GPU such as the GTX 1660 or RX 5600 XT will allow for higher settings and better frame rates, especially at 1080p resolution.
The game is designed to be accessible, meaning it won't be very demanding on your system. With the minimum requirements, you can expect playable frame rates at low to medium settings, while those with more powerful GPUs can comfortably target high settings for a visually richer experience. Given the genre and art style, the game is well-optimized, making it suitable for a wide range of hardware. Overall, if you're a fan of narrative adventures, you should find this title enjoyable without the need for high-end components.
Performance profile
How Was Your Day? is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.
Extremely light — How Was Your Day? runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
Storyline
Video game enthusiast and moody 13-year-old Diya’s day starts out rough. It’s the late 80s, and on top of the usual teenage angst—school, bullies, cliques, and annoying adults—Diya’s just moved to a new country, has no friends, and her once-close relationship with her brother is souring. Ugh! But when the only light in her life, her beloved dog Beans, vanishes without a trace, and she finds herself trapped in a mysterious time loop, Diya’s day goes from bad to worse. With her frustrating day stuck on repeat, ending with the same tired question from her parents—“How was your day?”—Diya realises that if she has any chance of saving Beans, she must break out of her comfort zone, confront her fears, use her knowledge of video games, and…gulp…talk to her parents, teacher, and neighbours! As she starts to open up and seek answers, Diya discovers that the residents of Lakeview are hiding secrets and a sinister presence shadows her every move. Who, or what, is behind the time loop and Beans’ mysterious disappearance? Can Diya break free from the endless cycle and reunite with her faithful companion? And how does the festival of Diwali tie into the unfolding mystery?
