About
Iris.Fall is a puzzle adventure game released in 2018 that combines atmospheric storytelling with clever puzzle mechanics. The indie title centers on the interplay of light and shadow, creating a visually striking experience that draws players into its mysterious narrative. With its casual gameplay approach and artistic presentation, it offers a contemplative alternative to action-heavy gaming.
Running Iris.Fall is accessible for most modern gaming PCs thanks to its modest hardware requirements. You'll need at least an entry-level GPU with a benchmark score around 4047 and a CPU scoring approximately 3092 to maintain smooth performance. The game isn't demanding by modern standards, so even budget gaming setups should deliver solid FPS at high graphics settings, making it an excellent benchmark title for older or lower-spec systems.
Based on its 60/100 rating, Iris.Fall appeals to players who appreciate artistic indie games and puzzle-solving over fast-paced action. If you enjoy atmospheric adventures with a focus on visual storytelling and light-based mechanics, it's worth experiencing despite its middling critical reception.
Performance profile
December 2018 release. Iris.Fall was built around the GTX 10-series / RX Vega era. Current-gen mid-range cards (RTX 4060 / RX 7600) are overkill at 1080p and handle 1440p Ultra comfortably.
Iris.Fall is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.
Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Iris.Fall; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.
Storyline
After awakening from a dream, Iris follows a black cat into a dilapidated theater, traveling back and forth through a strange labyrinth of light and shadow. As the story unfolds, Iris begins to realise that everything in this theater seems to have some kind of hidden connection to herself.
