About

Iron Danger, released in 2020, is a tactical combat game that uniquely blends action, adventure, and strategy genres. Set in a vibrant, steampunk-inspired world, the game allows players to control two characters and manipulate time during intense battles, offering a fresh take on turn-based and real-time gameplay. Its engaging mechanics and interactive environments create opportunities for creative combat strategies, making Iron Danger a standout in the indie gaming scene.

For optimal performance, Iron Danger is designed to run smoothly on a range of hardware, making it accessible to many gamers. With a minimum GPU requirement of around 4765 points and a CPU score of at least 5127, players can achieve solid FPS even on entry-level systems. For those seeking a better experience, a mid-tier GPU will enhance graphics settings and improve frame rates, ultimately providing a richer gameplay experience while tackling the game's challenging encounters.

With a solid score of 80/100, Iron Danger comes highly recommended for fans of tactical and strategic gameplay. Its innovative mechanics and engaging combat create an experience that will appeal to players looking for depth in their gaming adventures. If you enjoy immersive worlds and tactical challenges, Iron Danger is well worth your time.

Performance profile

Released in March 2020, Iron Danger targets RTX 20/30-series and RX 6000-era hardware. A current mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT) is the sweet spot for 1440p Ultra; 4K needs a high-end card.

As a strategy title, Iron Danger is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.

Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Iron Danger; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.

Storyline

EPIC SCALE, PERSONAL STAKES Iron Danger is a fully story-driven game, in which the action flows from the choices of the heroes and the events that surround them. The fate of an entire world is in your hands, and you will grapple with cosmic magic, terrifying monsters, and colossal war machines to save it. But you’re not a conquering warrior or master of sorcery by birth: you have to grow into your destiny step by step, and you can’t do it alone. Along your journey, you’re joined by companions with their own goals, backgrounds, abilities and personalities. They will guide and protect you, but also bring challenges of their own, and their lives are ultimately also in your hands. Together, you engage in epic struggles and make magical discoveries, but just as important are the relationships you form along the way.
