About

Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris, released in 2019, is an intriguing blend of action, adventure, and indie survival horror. Developed by TeamKill Media, this first-person dark-fantasy game immerses players in a world filled with betrayal and conflict, as you battle against forces from a long-forgotten realm. The narrative drives players to confront a usurper king while navigating haunting landscapes and intricate gameplay mechanics that set it apart in the indie gaming scene.

In terms of PC performance, Kings of Lorn requires a minimum of 8 GB of RAM, with recommended graphics performance coming from an entry-level GPU scoring around 2892 or higher. To run the game smoothly at decent FPS across medium graphics settings, hardware like a GTX 1050 or RX 560 can provide a reliable experience, making it accessible to a broad range of gamers. The CPU should ideally reach a score of about 6089 to match the graphical demands, helping players avoid performance issues during tense moments.

If you enjoy dark fantasy themes and engaging survival horror gameplay, Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris is worth your time, especially given its unique narrative and indie charm. The game has garnered positive feedback within its genre, making it a solid recommendation for those looking to explore new immersive worlds.

Performance profile

November 2019 release. Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris was built around the GTX 10-series / RX Vega era. Current-gen mid-range cards (RTX 4060 / RX 7600) are overkill at 1080p and handle 1440p Ultra comfortably.

Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.

Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.

Storyline

The world of Lera has fallen ill to an unstoppable plague and as the King of Ebris, you – Farren – frantically seek a way to bring an end to your people’s suffering in Ena: The Kingdom Above All Kingdoms. And to rid your world of this illness once and for all. In the weakness of your distress, your Regent – Gulbrand – speaks to you a tale of hope, a way to purify the world by means of the Spires and the extraordinary resources that await beyond the realms. Desperate for answers, you leave Gulbrand in charge of your kingdom to trek out to the other six Kingdoms of Lera and reopen the Spires; the other kings willing or not. You succeed in your endeavor, however with the reopening of the last Spire… something is wrong. The world begins to fall apart, the heavens turn dark and the oceans go dry. In the aftermath of your deeds, you find yourself stranded in the middle of a deteriorating world, only thoughts of worry to comfort you, as you trek onward to get back to your kingdom. The journey back takes you three years. And when you arrive… you do not recognize your own kingdom.
