About
For optimal performance in this atmospheric horror experience, an entry-level GPU like the GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT should be sufficient. These graphics cards are capable of handling the game at 1080p with medium settings, providing a smooth frame rate that enhances the eerie atmosphere. Given that the minimum specifications are relatively modest, the game is designed to be accessible, even for players on older hardware.
For those with mid-range GPUs, such as the GTX 1660 or RX 6600, players can expect a more visually appealing experience. Running the game at high settings at 1080p or even dipping into 1440p could be possible without sacrificing performance. On the higher end, GPUs like the RTX 3060 or RX 6700 XT will allow for maximum settings at higher resolutions, delivering a visually immersive experience that complements the game's horror elements.
Overall, this title is designed to be approachable for a wide range of systems, making it a great pick for casual and hardcore gamers alike. Whether you're using entry-level hardware or a more powerful setup, you can enjoy a chilling adventure without needing cutting-edge components.
Performance profile
December 2026 release. As a current-generation title, Late Night Duty pushes modern hardware — expect to need an RTX 40-series or RX 7000-series GPU to enjoy it at native 4K Ultra without leaning on upscaling.
Late Night Duty is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.
Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Late Night Duty; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.
Storyline
"I took a job as a night security guard at a local school. Great, just me, an empty building, and silence until the sun comes up. I hope that a simple job, the quiet hallways, and the night air will finally bring me some peace of mind" Late Night Duty is a short, linear narrative-driven psychological horror walking simulator set in Malaysia about a discharged veteran haunted by combat PTSD, on his first night shift as a school security guard. To begin your employment as a night security guard, please report to the security post. You'll find your flashlight, the patrol scanner, and the patrol logbook on the desk. For your first shift, ensure you check in at all designated patrol points around the school. The deeper into the shift you go, the harder it gets to tell what is a hallucination, and what is actually waiting for you in the dark.
