About
Medieval Kingdom Wars, released in 2017, brings a fresh and brutal twist to the medieval strategy genre by allowing players to rewrite history through immersive siege combat and city-building. As one of the minor lords of medieval Europe, you'll engage in a combination of action, simulation, and strategy, making critical decisions that impact the realm. The game's notable melding of brutal combat and grand strategy immerses players in a richly detailed world.
When it comes to PC performance, Medieval Kingdom Wars is designed to be accessible to a wide range of hardware setups. The minimum requirement is an entry-level GPU with a score of around 6083, which means that even budget-friendly systems can handle it. Players looking for smooth gameplay should aim for a mid-tier GPU to ensure stable FPS and the ability to play on higher graphics settings without sacrificing performance. With just 3 GB of RAM, many modern systems can easily run this game efficiently.
With an 80/100 rating, Medieval Kingdom Wars is a recommendable experience for fans of action and strategy games. Its unique approach to siege combat and city management offers plenty of depth and excitement, making it a worthy addition to any gamer's library, especially if you're fond of historical settings and tactical gameplay.
Performance profile
June 2017 release. Medieval Kingdom Wars was built around the GTX 10-series / RX Vega era. Current-gen mid-range cards (RTX 4060 / RX 7600) are overkill at 1080p and handle 1440p Ultra comfortably.
As a strategy title, Medieval Kingdom Wars is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.
Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Medieval Kingdom Wars; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.
