About

Mini Madness, released in 2021, is an action-packed indie racing game that captures the whimsical spirit of classic arcade titles such as Re-Volt and Micro Machines. In this game, players navigate their miniature remote-controlled cars on wildly imaginative tracks that twist through the nooks and crannies of a single-family home and its expansive garden. The vibrant graphics and fast-paced gameplay make Mini Madness a standout in the indie racing genre, offering a nostalgic yet refreshing racing experience.

From a performance standpoint, Mini Madness is quite accessible, allowing it to run smoothly on a variety of systems. The minimum GPU requirement is an entry-level model with a benchmark score of around 2000, while players will also need at least 4 GB of RAM and a CPU score of approximately 6299 to ensure optimal performance. With these specifications, gamers can expect a satisfying FPS experience, even at lower graphics settings, making it a great option for those with mid-range setups.

If you're a fan of racing games that deliver a unique twist, Mini Madness comes highly recommended. Its engaging gameplay and relatively low hardware demands make it an excellent choice for both casual gamers and racing enthusiasts alike, ensuring you'll have a blast as you race through its quirky tracks.

Performance profile

Released in July 2021, Mini Madness targets RTX 20/30-series and RX 6000-era hardware. A current mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT) is the sweet spot for 1440p Ultra; 4K needs a high-end card.

Racing games like Mini Madness are latency-critical — input-to-screen responsiveness is everything. Target a locked 60 FPS minimum (ideally 120 FPS on a high-refresh display) with VSync off or G-Sync/FreeSync active.

Extremely light — Mini Madness runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

Driving mechanics are focused on managing your car’s afterburner. Perform flips in mid air to fill your afterburner meter, which will ensure dynamic driving. While you progress through the game, you will be able to upgrade the afterburner meter and its charge speed, speed of flips, brakes and many more. There are many ways to drive through tracks like for eg. utilizing available shortcuts. You are only limited by control points which should be scored in specific order. You can drive on walls and ceilings thanks to special gravity panels and appropriate engine upgrades. Each track location has interact-able objects that can be activated by a special transmitter. It can be a shortcut on an extendable bridge or activation of a toy robot, which will shoot a volley of projectiles on your opponents, or a fan that will make driving harder.
