About

Mint, released in 2017, is a unique blend of action, adventure, and indie gameplay that tells the quirky story of an alien known as Mint. Tasked with retrieving Lugal, an escaped convict from its home planet, this game offers a whimsical take on the alien chase narrative, engaging players with its creative premise and charming visuals. The game's standout concept is embodied in Mint's transformation into toothpaste, allowing it to navigate Earth's atmosphere while pursuing its target.

For PC performance, Mint is quite accessible, requiring only an entry-level GPU with a minimum score of around 2533 to run smoothly. Players with modest hardware can achieve playable FPS even at higher graphics settings, as the game is designed to perform well on low-end systems. With just 1 GB of RAM needed, Mint can be easily enjoyed on older PCs, making it an excellent option for gamers looking for a low-demand title that still delivers a fun experience.

Whether you're a fan of casual gaming or indie adventures, Mint is a title worth considering, especially for those seeking unique gameplay without heavy hardware demands. Its imaginative storyline and approachable mechanics make it a delightful option for players looking for a lighthearted journey through alien pursuits. Overall, if you're in the mood for something different that balances performance and creativity, Mint is definitely worth the play.

Performance profile

July 2017 release. Mint was built around the GTX 10-series / RX Vega era. Current-gen mid-range cards (RTX 4060 / RX 7600) are overkill at 1080p and handle 1440p Ultra comfortably.

Mint is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.

Entry-level hardware target. A GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT reaches 60 FPS at 1080p Medium in Mint; an RTX 4060 comfortably sustains 1440p Ultra. 4K Ultra 60 FPS needs an RTX 4070 or better.
