About

Nevaeh, released in 2020, is an engaging action-adventure indie game that captures players with its vibrant art style and captivating storyline. Players control a young girl on a quest to restore the light of her village by venturing into the mysterious Tower. The game is notable for its unique blend of exploration and puzzle-solving mechanics, which challenge players while delivering an immersive experience.

For PC performance, Nevaeh is quite accessible, making it a great choice for gamers with entry-level systems. The game runs well on hardware equipped with a minimum GPU score of around 1695 and a CPU score of approximately 469, allowing it to achieve solid FPS even on modest setups. Players can expect to enjoy decent graphics settings without straining their systems, providing a smooth gaming experience even at entry-tier specs.

Overall, Nevaeh is worth playing, especially for fans of indie games and action-adventure titles. With positive ratings and a strong storyline, it offers a delightful escape for gamers looking for new experiences in a beautifully crafted world.

Performance profile

Released in September 2020, Nevaeh targets RTX 20/30-series and RX 6000-era hardware. A current mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT) is the sweet spot for 1440p Ultra; 4K needs a high-end card.

Nevaeh is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.

Extremely light — Nevaeh runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

The Village is lit by the glow from the top of the Tower. The Girl enters the Tower to fix the light for the Village. The Girl thinks she can get the Village's light back by releasing and taking the glowing Butterfly trapped in the Tower. The Queen of the Night blocks her from exiting the tower. The Queen of the Night wants to kill the Girl to get the Butterfly back. The Girl manages to avoid her and escape from the Tower. But because the Girl took the the Butterfly, all the light in the Village was gone. The Village disappeared into the darkness. It is no longer people but shadows that roam the streets. "If I put the Butterfly back, maybe the Village will come back." The Girl heads back to the Tower to restore the lost light and the Village.
