About

OneShift, released in 2018, is a unique blend of action, adventure, and indie puzzle platforming. Players take on the role of a character capable of freezing and unfreezing time, navigating through various worlds to collect blue cubes. What sets OneShift apart is its intriguing gameplay mechanic that restricts players to one active world at a time, introducing a world rotation mechanic later on that adds complexity and depth to the puzzles.

In terms of PC performance, OneShift is an accessible title that doesn't demand high-end hardware to run smoothly. With a minimum GPU requirement of an entry-level graphics card, offering a benchmark score of around 904, players can expect good performance even on modest systems. For a smooth gameplay experience with stable FPS, a GPU from the entry-level tier, such as the GeForce GTX 1030 or similar, should suffice, allowing players to enjoy the game's colorful graphics settings without hassle.

If you're a fan of puzzle platformers or indie games, OneShift is worth exploring. With its creative time manipulation mechanics and engaging gameplay, it has garnered positive feedback from players, making it a fantastic choice for a casual gaming session. The combination of action and puzzles offers a compelling experience that can capture your interest for hours.

Performance profile

August 2018 release. OneShift was built around the GTX 10-series / RX Vega era. Current-gen mid-range cards (RTX 4060 / RX 7600) are overkill at 1080p and handle 1440p Ultra comfortably.

OneShift is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.

Extremely light — OneShift runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
