About

Randy & Manilla, an early access indie adventure game from 2024, invites players to explore a captivating quantum cyber-universe filled with diverse virtual worlds. This unique title features Net-Cubes that house levels across multiple game genres, such as platformers in Terra-Qubit and classic arcade experiences in Gamezone Cube, which keeps gameplay fresh and engaging. The distinct concept of blending different genres into a singular experience sets Randy & Manilla apart in the indie gaming landscape.

When it comes to PC performance, Randy & Manilla is fairly accessible, requiring only an entry-level GPU with a minimum score of around 600 to run smoothly. Players should also have at least 6 GB of RAM for optimal performance. While it doesn't demand high-end hardware, those looking to achieve higher FPS and better graphics settings should consider mid-tier GPUs to enhance their overall experience in this colorful quantum adventure.

If you enjoy genre-blending indie games and are intrigued by imaginative worlds, Randy & Manilla is worth your time. With its engaging gameplay and unique concept, it offers a refreshing take on adventure games, making it a compelling addition to your gaming library.

Performance profile

May 2024 release. As a current-generation title, Randy & Manilla pushes modern hardware — expect to need an RTX 40-series or RX 7000-series GPU to enjoy it at native 4K Ultra without leaning on upscaling.

Randy & Manilla is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.

Extremely light — Randy & Manilla runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

In the year 2142, among the mysteries of the quantum supercomputer created by Lambert Wilson, there is a cyber-universe packed with brightly colored cubes called Net-Cubes. Within them, fantastic virtual worlds of pixelated and abstract structures await. It is free from threats like hackers, cyber-spies and corporate and government organizations. But that doesn't mean that they don’t hold their own dangers; such as the villain of the red Net-Cube: Cracksom Virus. This dominant virus is putting all Net-Cubes in danger of being permanently deleted, so he can expand his empire of computing corruption to the real world, abandoned by humans. Meanwhile, a messaging algorithm called E-Mailer arrives at the world of Bloxland Qubitown, Randy and Manilla’s home, giving them an urgent warning: the entire cyber-universe is in grave danger of being destroyed by Cracksom. He knows that they are the only ones who can stop his great threat. Moreover, according to the mayor Blue Quantáramo, our heroes hold a hidden programming and power that prevents them from being corrupted by Cracksom himself. And so, they accept the mission to embark on a great adventure through all the different Net-Cubes. E-Mailer will also come along and open portals so our heroes can access the new worlds.
