About
To run this unique blend of action and simulation smoothly, a mid-range GPU like the RTX 4060 or RX 7600 is recommended. This should handle the game well at 1080p with high settings, providing a good balance of visuals and performance. For those with lower-end hardware, integrated graphics or older GPUs may struggle, particularly during intense night sequences where performance can dip.
If you're looking to play at higher resolutions, such as 1440p, a more powerful graphics card will be necessary to maintain fluid gameplay. Expect to dial back some settings if you're on the lower end of the GPU spectrum—medium settings at 1080p will still offer a decent experience. Overall, the game is designed to be accessible, making it a great option for gamers with mid-tier setups, while also offering a visually engaging experience for those with higher-end hardware. For the best experience, aim for a balance of GPU power and settings that match your resolution preferences.
Performance profile
October 2025 release. As a current-generation title, Dough or Die pushes modern hardware — expect to need an RTX 40-series or RX 7000-series GPU to enjoy it at native 4K Ultra without leaning on upscaling.
As a strategy title, Dough or Die is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.
High-end requirement. Dough or Die needs an RTX 4070 Ti or RX 7800 XT for comfortable 1440p 60 FPS at High settings. 4K Ultra 60 FPS is flagship territory — RTX 4080 Super / RX 7900 XTX minimum without upscaling.
Storyline
The year is 2098 and the culinary landscape has gone off the deep end. After the Great Gluten Panic of 2072, most people in New City turned their backs on real food entirely, replacing meals with nutrient pods and synthetic flavor cartridges. Pizza, once a symbol of warmth is now labeled “marinara paraphernalia"& opening up a Za shop is about as dangerous as smuggling contraband cheese. But one man didn’t get the memo. Meet Mario Meatballs Armed with nothing but a dream and a rolling pin, Mario sets up shop where the neon lights fade...on the outskirts of New City. By day, he slings piping-hot pies and questionable hamburgers to the few brave souls who still crave the taste of something real. By night, he defends his shop against waves of Carb-Free Crusaders, Health Enforcers, and other diet-less driven fanatics determined to snuff out his saucy rebellion. In a world that’s lost its taste, Mario Meatballs is serving up resistance one doughy, sauce-splattered slice at a time. In this thrilling pizza-making simulation with a dash of tower defense, you'll step into Mario's shoes and manage every aspect of running a brick-and-mortar shop by day then at night fend off hordes of crazed lunatics and other totally normal things for a small business owner.
