About

"Song of Farca," released in 2021, immerses players in a unique blend of adventure and simulation. You step into the shoes of Isabella Song, a hacker PI navigating a city filled with intrigue where hacking and investigation are crucial. Players engage with various devices, question suspects, and unravel complex narratives, making it notable for its engaging storytelling and originality within the indie genre.

When it comes to PC performance, "Song of Farca" is quite accessible. The minimum GPU requirement is an entry-level model, with a score around 335, allowing many players to experience it without high-end hardware. You can expect satisfactory FPS on mid-range GPUs, enabling smooth gameplay even if you set graphics preferences modestly. With just 4 GB of RAM needed, the game is ideal for those looking to enjoy gaming while keeping system demands low.

Given its 60/100 rating, "Song of Farca" may not resonate with everyone, but if you're a fan of adventure titles and enjoy a blend of storytelling with investigative gameplay, this indie game can offer a worthwhile experience. It emphasizes narrative over flashy graphics, making it appealing to those who prioritize immersive gameplay over high FPS benchmarks.

Performance profile

Released in July 2021, Song of Farca targets RTX 20/30-series and RX 6000-era hardware. A current mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT) is the sweet spot for 1440p Ultra; 4K needs a high-end card.

Simulation titles like Song of Farca are heavily CPU-dependent — physics, AI and world state dominate the frame budget. Prioritise a CPU with strong single-thread performance and fast RAM over raw GPU power.

Extremely light — Song of Farca runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

Song of Farca takes place in a near future where technology isn't just part of everyday life – some things are now impossible without it. IT corporations are gradually gaining more and more influence, becoming a modern aristocracy that couldn't care less about the law or mere mortals. Criminal organizations are still trying to resist the powerful corporations, but even they understand that the city of Farca is entering a cyberpunk future. They know that their golden age is over. As private detective Isabella Song, you must navigate the city's disparate factions and investigate the most complex, seemingly unrelated cases with the help of gadgets, a small army of drones and your intellect. Though Izy is under house arrest after a bar fight, that won’t stop her from doing her job. Getting online is no problem for a hacker, after all. You must uncover information through hacking, surveillance, and the internet, create an information cloud from leads and logically connect them to draw conclusions and apply them in dialogues. As the plot progresses, things get more complicated. The stakes get higher and the various plot strands come together to form a single story. The choices you make in investigations have important consequences to the plot. Do you convict the suspect that all the evidence is pointing to or dig deeper? What collateral damage will you leave behind you?
