About

Sym.Bios: Torn Asunder, released in 2023, is an engaging text-based visual novel that blends adventure and indie gameplay, allowing players to explore an intricate sci-fi narrative filled with moral dilemmas. The game features compelling dialogue and stunning artwork, inviting players to immerse themselves in the choices of seven main characters. Each decision impacts the storyline, making every playthrough unique and challenging, which elevates its appeal within the genre.

When it comes to performance, Sym.Bios: Torn Asunder is designed to be accessible, requiring just an entry-level GPU with a minimum score of around 300 to enjoy the experience. For optimal FPS, players can run it comfortably on systems equipped with at least 8 GB of RAM and a basic graphics card. This means that even budget-conscious gamers can expect a smooth gameplay experience without the need for high-end hardware, making it a great option for those looking to delve into narrative-driven titles.

If you're a fan of adventure games or visual novels, playing Sym.Bios: Torn Asunder comes highly recommended. The game has garnered positive feedback for its story depth and artistic presentation, making it a worthwhile addition to your gaming library — especially if you appreciate titles that prioritize player choice and narrative development.

Performance profile

August 2023 release. As a current-generation title, Sym.Bios: Torn Asunder pushes modern hardware — expect to need an RTX 40-series or RX 7000-series GPU to enjoy it at native 4K Ultra without leaning on upscaling.

Sym.Bios: Torn Asunder is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.

Extremely light — Sym.Bios: Torn Asunder runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

In 2364, the wounds of World War III are healed… but they left some ugly scars. In the Rome area (or what’s left of it), radiation still kills slowly and silently. It’s the place Min-Joon Watal - an extremely wealthy philanthropist and heir to the Watal Industries empire – chose to build an underground sanctuary city: Tosca, sheltered from those deadly radioactive waves that poison the Lazio region. But what Watal didn’t see coming is the locals’ resistance to his project: they don’t trust this man who comes from the “Colonies”, these artificial satellites where the rich and famous took refuge, far from the Earth and its agony, its filth, its brutality. Conspiracy theories run wild about Tosca, civilian militias are formed to attack its construction site.
