About

Tead, released in 2023, is an intriguing murder mystery visual novel that invites players to delve into a gripping narrative filled with twists and turns. Set in a beautifully crafted world, this adventure game combines visual storytelling with decision-making, enabling players to impact the outcome of their investigations. As a free-to-play indie title, Tead stands out with its unique art style and engaging plot, making it a must-try for enthusiasts of narrative-driven games.

In terms of PC performance, Tead is designed to be highly accessible, requiring only an entry-level GPU with a minimum score of around 300 to deliver a smooth gaming experience. Players can expect satisfactory FPS on modest hardware, with at least 1 GB of RAM recommended for optimal performance. Given its lightweight graphics settings, even older systems should run the game well, allowing a broad audience to enjoy the unfolding mystery without the need for high-end GPUs.

If you appreciate narrative depth and are a fan of visual novels, Tead is worth your time. Its straightforward gameplay, coupled with positive player ratings, suggests it offers a fulfilling experience for those who enjoy solving mysteries within an engaging story.

Performance profile

September 2023 release. As a current-generation title, Tead pushes modern hardware — expect to need an RTX 40-series or RX 7000-series GPU to enjoy it at native 4K Ultra without leaning on upscaling.

Tead is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.

Extremely light — Tead runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

12 strangers wake up in a room. They're told one of them is secretly the Game Master, and they must try to kill the Game Master. But if one of them murders someone who's not the Game Master, the murderer will be killed unless they can convince others they were not the murderer. The others must figure out who the murderer is or they will all die. Collect evidence, make arguments, and identify the murderer, but don't lose sight of the ultimate goal of eliminating the Game Master. Many will die along the way, but remember: Their Endings Are Deserved.
