About

The Dark Eye: Memoria is a 2013 point-and-click adventure game set in The Dark Eye, one of fantasy's most acclaimed RPG universes. The game blends classic adventure puzzle-solving with magical mechanics, featuring a talking staff companion and dual storylines across eight chapters that interweave the fates of two protagonists. Its combination of traditional adventure gameplay with Dark Eye lore creates a unique experience for fans of narrative-driven indie games.

Memoria is highly accessible from a performance standpoint and doesn't demand cutting-edge hardware. With a minimum requirement of just 2GB RAM, even modest integrated GPUs will handle this game comfortably at solid FPS rates. You can expect smooth performance on budget graphics cards and older systems, making it an excellent choice if you're benchmarking older or lower-tier GPU performance. Running this game at high settings shouldn't present any challenge for modern hardware.

If you enjoy classic adventure games with strong storytelling and fantasy world-building, Memoria's 81/100 rating suggests it's worth playing. The indie title offers good narrative depth without demanding expensive hardware, making it accessible to a wide audience of adventure game fans.

Performance profile

Released in August 2013, The Dark Eye: Memoria sits in the DirectX 11 generation. Comfortable on any modern mid-range GPU at 1440p; even an RTX 3050 or RX 6600 typically delivers 4K60 at High settings.

The Dark Eye: Memoria is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.

Extremely light — The Dark Eye: Memoria runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
