About
The Shell Part III: Paradiso, released in 2020, concludes the thrilling adventure of Detective Reiji Tokisaka. This game weaves a narrative of obsession and confrontation as players navigate through emotional depths, making choices that impact the story's outcome. As the final entry in the trilogy, it captures both adventure and simulation genres, inviting players to engage with a rich narrative intertwined with complex character relationships.
In terms of performance, The Shell Part III: Paradiso is quite accessible to a wide range of PCs. With a minimum GPU requirement set at an entry-level card (minimum score ~300), players can achieve stable frame rates even on modest hardware. For optimal FPS benchmarks, consider a mid-tier GPU, as this will allow for better performance under higher graphics settings, enhancing the overall visual experience without overstressing your system.
If you appreciate narrative-driven adventure games with a rich emotional backdrop, The Shell Part III: Paradiso comes highly recommended. With engaging gameplay and a story that resonates, this title not only satisfies genre enthusiasts but also offers an immersive experience that is worth exploring for any fan of the series.
Performance profile
Released in December 2020, The Shell Part III: Paradiso targets RTX 20/30-series and RX 6000-era hardware. A current mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT) is the sweet spot for 1440p Ultra; 4K needs a high-end card.
Simulation titles like The Shell Part III: Paradiso are heavily CPU-dependent — physics, AI and world state dominate the frame budget. Prioritise a CPU with strong single-thread performance and fast RAM over raw GPU power.
Extremely light — The Shell Part III: Paradiso runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
Storyline
The year is Showa 33—or 1958, by the new calendar. It is an especially cold January, and amid the dour gray snow, a funeral is being held. A portrait of a girl’s face sits there draped in snow, looking almost embarrassed and a little lonely… The imprisoned painter Shinzo Mamiya died a scant few weeks after the Blessed Congregation’s crimes came to light. Detective Reiji Tokisaka has been recruited by his old friend Maris Stella to help sort through the man’s belongings, but instead they find an unknown work in his studio: a one-winged angel with no arms. The work, which they name Exile Of Paradise, is as beautiful as it is sinister—and it resembles his infamous masterpiece Girl In Shell. A few more days later, a woman’s corpse is found, modified in the manner depicted in Exile. She is identified as having formerly worked with Tomoyuki Masaki. There may be no one left who can cut the chain of obsession that began with Girl In Shell—nobody but one small girl. E quell’ossessione fa girare il sole e tutte le stelle.
