About

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist, released in 2013, is a tactical shooter that deftly blends stealth and action elements. Building on the franchise's iconic stealth roots, Blacklist allows players to choose their approach — whether as a ghost aiming to remain undetected, an assault player relying on firepower, or a panther striking from the shadows. This versatility sets it apart and engages players in unique ways, making each encounter feel personal.

In terms of PC performance, Splinter Cell: Blacklist is relatively accessible, requiring only an entry-level GPU with a minimum score of approximately 403 to run smoothly. The game can perform well on systems with at least 2 GB of RAM, and players looking for a better experience should consider mid-range GPUs for higher FPS and enhanced graphics settings. Benchmarks reveal that even modest setups can achieve playable frame rates, making it attainable for a broad audience.

With a solid rating of 82/100, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist is certainly worth playing, especially for fans of tactical shooters and adventure games. Its engaging gameplay and the freedom to tailor your style culminate in a rewarding experience that is both thrilling and strategic.

Performance profile

Released in August 2013, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist sits in the DirectX 11 generation. Comfortable on any modern mid-range GPU at 1440p; even an RTX 3050 or RX 6600 typically delivers 4K60 at High settings.

As a strategy title, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist is typically CPU-bound rather than GPU-bound — single-thread CPU performance dictates framerate during large-scale battles, end-game saves and late-game AI turns. A fast modern 6-core will help more than a GPU upgrade.

Extremely light — Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

The United States has a military presence in two-thirds of countries around the world. Some of them have had enough. A group of terrorists calling themselves The Engineers initiate a terror ultimatum called the Blacklist – a deadly countdown of escalating attacks on US interests at home and abroad. Sam is back in his ops suit and goggles, and he’s more lethal and agile than ever. Granted the freedom to do whatever it takes to stop the Blacklist, Sam flies from exotic locales to US cities as he races against the clock to find out who’s behind this devastating threat.
