About

"Up All Night," released in 2021, is an adventure game that immerses players in a gripping narrative focused on Nick, a recent high school graduate coping with trauma. Set in a remote cabin during a snowstorm, the game explores themes of isolation and emotional resilience as players help Nick navigate his surroundings with limited resources. The unique storyline and character development make this title notable in the indie gaming landscape.

In terms of PC performance, "Up All Night" is quite accessible, requiring only an entry-level GPU with a minimum score of around 300 to achieve decent FPS. Players with 1 GB of RAM can run the game without much hassle, allowing it to perform well on budget-friendly hardware. When considering GPU recommendations, even basic integrated graphics can provide an enjoyable experience at lower graphics settings, making this game suitable for a wide range of systems.

If you enjoy narrative-driven adventure games and are looking for a thought-provoking experience, "Up All Night" comes highly recommended. Its compelling story and relatively low hardware requirements make it an excellent choice for those who appreciate emotional storytelling in games.

Performance profile

Released in October 2021, Up All Night targets RTX 20/30-series and RX 6000-era hardware. A current mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT) is the sweet spot for 1440p Ultra; 4K needs a high-end card.

Up All Night is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.

Extremely light — Up All Night runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.

Storyline

Struggling with the emotional aftermath of a grisly tragedy, recent high school grad Nick is dragged to a remote cabin by his loving mom for a winter weekend getaway. Unfortunately, the vacation becomes irreparable when an unforeseen blizzard leaves his mom trapped in town and Nick stranded in the isolated cottage. With no phone service, no internet, and no entertainment, Nick decides to explore the surrounding backwoods... But things take an even darker turn when he stumbles upon a gruesome scene. Accompanied by two new local acquaintances; Felix, the cabin owner’s straight-laced son, and Grayson, the caretaker’s happy-go-lucky daughter, Nick’s first goal is to uncover the mystery of what haunts the woods. His second is to survive it. Unearth secrets hidden between the trees. Solve a murder. Confront what awaits in the darkness. Whatever transpires, you’re guaranteed to be up all night.
