About
Yesterday (2012) is a point-and-click adventure game from Pendulo Studios, the creators of the acclaimed Runaway trilogy. The game combines a gripping mystery narrative with dark, atmospheric environments and complex characters that draw players into an unforgettable story. It's notable for prioritizing narrative and puzzle-solving over action, making it a classic adventure experience.
From a performance standpoint, Yesterday is highly accessible and won't stress modern hardware. The game requires just 1 GB of RAM and runs smoothly on integrated GPUs, delivering solid FPS even on budget systems. You can expect excellent performance and consistent frame rates across nearly any GPU from the past decade, making it an ideal title if you're benchmarking older or entry-level machines.
If you enjoy narrative-driven adventures with intriguing mysteries, Yesterday is worth playing despite its 68/100 rating. However, if you prefer action-heavy experiences, you might find the slower pacing less engaging. The game's minimal hardware demands make it accessible to virtually any PC gamer.
Performance profile
March 2012 release. Yesterday targets mid-2000s-to-early-2010s hardware — any modern entry-level GPU (GTX 1650 tier or newer integrated graphics) handles it at 1080p Ultra without breaking a sweat.
Yesterday is a narrative-driven experience — a rock-solid 60 FPS is plenty. Prioritise resolution and image quality (AA, anisotropic filtering) over chasing high-refresh framerates.
Extremely light — Yesterday runs at 60 FPS 1080p on any integrated GPU (Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) or a decade-old discrete card like the GTX 1050. A current-gen RTX 4060 pushes 4K Ultra without effort.
